In short
- Your financial data stays on your device. Fyrgo stores your accounts, investments, property, loans, monthly balances and settings locally on your phone. We have no server that holds this data and we cannot see it.
- For subscriptions we use RevenueCat, Apple and Google. If you take a Premium subscription, the purchase is processed by the App Store or Google Play, and we manage your subscription status through RevenueCat using an anonymous identifier (your “Support ID”).
- To fix crashes, the app sends error reports to Sentry. These contain technical diagnostics — never your financial data.
- No in-app tracking. The app doesn't track how you use it; only this website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
- We never sell your data and we show no ads.

1. Who is responsible?
Fyrgo is a personal finance app developed and operated by Dennis Noens, an individual developer based in Belgium. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “Fyrgo” refer to this developer. For most of the data you enter in the app, you are the only person with access to it; for the limited data processed in connection with a subscription (see below), we act as the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679).

2. What data do we process?
2.1 Data that stays only on your device
The core of Fyrgo — your financial records — is stored locally on your device. This includes, for example, your bank accounts, investments, real estate, loans, the monthly balances and valuations you enter, and your app settings. This data is not sent to us or to any external server. We have no access to it.
You can export and import your own data through a file. This happens entirely on your initiative and under your control; the exported file is managed by you (for example, stored or shared wherever you choose) and does not pass through us.
2.2 Data processed for subscriptions
Fyrgo offers an optional Premium subscription. To manage purchases and subscription status we work with RevenueCat, Inc. and with the payment systems of Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). In that context, the following data is processed:
| Data | Purpose | Processed by |
|---|---|---|
| Support ID (an anonymous, randomly generated identifier) | To link your subscription status to your installation and, if you get in touch, to provide support or grant promotional access | Fyrgo / RevenueCat |
| Purchase and subscription data (which product, purchase and expiry date, trial period, status) | To unlock the correct features and keep your subscription status up to date | RevenueCat, Apple, Google |
| Technical metadata (platform, store country, app version, device type) | Correct operation and troubleshooting of purchases | RevenueCat |
| Payment details (card/account information) | To process the payment | Apple or Google only — we never receive or see this data |
The “Support ID” is not linked to your name or email address. When you use Fyrgo we do not ask for an account, email address or profile details.
2.3 Crash and error reporting
To keep Fyrgo stable, we use Sentry to collect crash and error reports. When the app runs into an error or crashes, a diagnostic report is sent to Sentry. This report contains technical information such as the type of error, a stack trace, your device model, operating system version and app version, and may include your IP address. It does not include your financial data. We use these reports only to detect, diagnose and fix problems in the app, and Sentry acts as our processor. These reports are stored in Sentry's European Union region.
2.4 Notifications
Fyrgo can send you local reminders (for example, to complete your monthly entry or to remember a backup). These notifications are scheduled and delivered locally on your device; no data is sent to us for this purpose.
3. Why do we process this data?
We process the data above on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): to provide and manage your subscription.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): to make the app work correctly and stay stable, to diagnose and fix crashes, prevent abuse and provide support.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): where we are legally required to retain or provide data.
4. How long do we keep data?
- Local data on your device: kept for as long as you keep it. It is removed when you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
- Subscription data (at RevenueCat and the stores): retained for as long as necessary to manage your subscription and to comply with legal (including accounting) obligations.
- Crash and error reports (at Sentry): retained only for as long as needed to investigate and fix problems.
5. Who do we share data with?
We never sell or rent your data. We only share the data described in sections 2.2 and 2.3 with the following processors, and solely for the purposes stated there:
- RevenueCat, Inc. — subscription management. Privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — crash and error reporting. Privacy policy: sentry.io/privacy
- Apple Inc. — payment and subscription via the App Store. Privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google LLC — payment and subscription via Google Play. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
In addition, we may disclose data where we are legally required to do so, for example upon a valid request from a competent authority.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Some of the service providers above (including RevenueCat) are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where data is processed outside the EEA, this is done on the basis of appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, so that an equivalent level of protection applies.
7. Cookies and analytics
Neither the Fyrgo app nor this website uses cookies for advertising, and neither tracks you across other apps or websites.
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool that sets no cookies and does not collect personal data. It only measures general, aggregated information such as page views, referrers, countries and device types.
The app itself does not use analytics or usage-tracking technology.
8. Security
Because your financial data stays locally on your own device, its security also depends on the security of your device (for example your screen lock and device encryption). For the limited data exchanged with our processors, communication takes place over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and those processors apply appropriate technical and organisational measures.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- request access to the data we process about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to the processing;
- have your data ported (data portability);
- withdraw a consent you have given;
- lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).
You manage the data you enter locally in the app directly yourself: you can view, edit, export or delete it at any time within the app. For data related to a subscription, you can contact us at fyrgo.app@gmail.com. Please include your Support ID (found in the app settings) so we can handle your request.
10. Children
Fyrgo is not directed at children under the age of 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example when the app or the services it uses change. The most recent version is always available on this page, with the date of the last change shown at the top.
12. Governing law
This privacy policy is governed by Belgian law.
